In this lesson, students learn to craft an introduction that introduces the topic and begins to organize information within their informative paper. Students begin by examining the introductions of the two informative writing models in Lessons 1 and 2 and discussing the components that make these introductions effective. Then, students work individually to draft introductions for their own informative papers.
