Description
In this lesson, students are given a description of a chance experiment that results in a discrete random variable. Students derive the discrete probability distribution for that random variable and use the discrete probability distribution to answer probability questions. It is important to be very specific with language. The discrete probability distribution is a mathematical calculation based on possible outcomes of an event.
