Modeling Video Game Motion with Matrices (Continued)

Description

Students have recently learned how to represent rotations as matrix transformations. In this lesson, they apply that knowledge to represent dynamic motion, as seen in video games. Students analyze circular motion that involves a time parameter.

The second part of the lesson involves modeling a combination of motions. For instance, students model motion along a circle followed by a translation or motion along a line followed by a translation.
