Description
This is a two-day lesson that introduces a new definition of a linear transformation and looks at common mistakes that students make when assuming that all linear functions meet the requirements for this new definition. A linear transformation is not equivalent to a linear function, which is a function whose graph is a line and can be written as 𝑦 = 𝑚𝑥 + 𝑏.
