Description
While encouraging students to use the most efficient strategy when solving number sentences, some may be able to use different number combinations as efficiently. For example, some might see 7 + 8 as 7 + 7 + 1 or 8 + 8 – 1, and some may already know 7 + 8 but benefit from the strategy discussion.
