Inverse Trigonometric Functions

Description

Students studied inverse functions in Module 3 and came to the realization that not every function has an inverse that is also a function. Students considered how to restrict the domain of a function to produce an invertible function (F-BF.B.4d). This lesson builds on that understanding of inverse functions by restricting the domains of the trigonometric functions in order to develop the inverse trigonometric functions.
