Waves, Sinusoids, and Identities

Description

Much of the content of this lesson is based on the physics of waves. Two types of waves in physics are longitudinal and transverse waves. A slinky can be used to model both types of waves. The video clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCtf-z4t9L8 illustrates two types of waveforms: longitudinal waves and transverse waves. Particles that oscillate perpendicular to the motion of the waves create a transverse wave. Particles that oscillate in the direction of the motion of the wave create a longitudinal wave.
