Introduction to Networks

Description

In Module 1, students used matrix multiplication to perform a linear transformation in the plane or in space. In this module, they use matrices to model new phenomena, starting with networks and graphs, and develop arithmetic operations on matrices in this context. Students extend their understanding of the usefulness of matrices—from representing functions to representing connections between people and places—as they represent and solve a wide variety of problems using matrices.
