Describing Center, Variability, and Shape of Data Distribution

Description

Students consider a histogram of the length of yellow perch in the Great Lakes region. The data presented in this lesson are based on various scientific research studies of yellow perch during the 1990s. Before students analyze the data, share with them that the histogram is part of the yellow perch story that they will uncover in this lesson.
