Margin of Error When Estimating a Population Proportion (Continued)

Description

A general approach for finding a margin of error involves using the standard deviation of a sample proportion. With appropriate sample sizes, 95% of all sample proportions are within about two standard deviations of the true population proportion. Therefore, due to natural sampling variability, 95% of all samples have a sample proportion of true proportion ± 2 ⋅ sample standard deviation, where 2SD is the margin of error.
