Students will examine Oedipus’s account of a violent event in his past, and will then use the Mid-Unit Evidence Collection Tool to explore the development of central idea in preparation for their Mid-Unit Assessment in Lesson 12. Students will develop a claim for homework to the Mid-Unit Assessment prompt: What relationship does Sophocles establish between prophecy and Oedipus’s actions?
