Ancient Greek Tragedy

Description

In the first lesson of this unit, students will build their close reading skills as they work carefully through the first two monologues of Oedipus the King. This lesson serves as the initial exposure to Sophoclean dramatic structures and the entry point to comprehension of the text. Students will expand on existing knowledge and build shared knowledge of the elements of ancient Greek tragedy and mythology.
