Description
Students analyze paragraphs 1 and 2, in which Poe introduces the narrator’s reason for killing the old man. Students will explore how Poe begins to develop the central ideas of obsession and madness through specific textual details by engaging in evidence-based discussion. Additionally, students will continue to consider how point of view shapes the content and style of the text.
