Analyzing The Central Claim In The Big Thirst


Description

This lesson introduces the text The Big Thirst, which students will work with across Units 1 and 2. The author, Charles Fishman, is the same person whom students saw in the videos during Lesson 5. Students read the first few pages of Fishman’s book closely, using text-dependent questions to guide them. These questions mainly deal with concepts and vocabulary essential to understanding Fishman’s claim.
