Description
In this lesson, students analyze “The Overcoat” and The Namesake in preparation for the 12.4.2 End-of-Unit Assessment in the following lesson. Students work in pairs to discuss the text and develop two claims supported by evidence in response to the 12.4.2 End-of-Unit Assessment prompt: Compare Nikolai Gogol’s and Jhumpa Lahiri’s approaches to identity in “The Overcoat” and The Namesake.
