Interactions with Others Shape Our Identities

Description

In this lesson, students analyze The Namesake, pages 108–124, in which Gogol falls in love for the first time and Ashoke tells Gogol about the train wreck and his namesake. Students participate in a jigsaw discussion, focusing on the development and interaction of two central ideas through Gogol’s interactions with Ruth, his father, and his peers.
