Description
In this lesson, students learn how to generate more specific inquiry questions to frame their research. In the beginning of the lesson, students engage in a research process check-in, during which they review the Student Research Plan Handout. This plan serves as a guide to the research process and a place to reflect on next steps. Next, students review inquiry questions from previous lessons and help generate inquiry questions for their peers’ areas of investigation. Individually, students use a Specific Inquiry Questions Checklist to vet the inquiry questions brainstormed by their peers and finalize a list of at least 5 specific inquiry questions that guide their research.
