Description
In this lesson, students begin an in-depth analysis of Henry David Thoreau’s essay “Civil Disobedience,” in which Thoreau introduces and begins to support claims about government and the military. Students consider Thoreau’s point of view and the claims he makes about the relationship of the government to the people.
