Description
In this first lesson of the unit and module, students begin their analysis of Benazir Bhutto’s 2007 speech, “Ideas Live On.” This first lesson begins with a masterful reading of the full text of Bhutto’s speech. Students then analyze the first 10 paragraphs of the speech. Student learning is assessed via a Quick Write at the end of the lesson: How does Bhutto use rhetoric to establish her point of view in the opening of her speech?
