Narrative Techniques

Description

In this lesson, students use examples from The Autobiography of Malcolm X to explore different narrative techniques and then apply those techniques to their own narrative writing in a paragraph response to one of the Common Application prompts. Students have the choice of expanding on their narratives from 12.1.1 Lesson 6 or choosing to respond to a new prompt.
