Description
In this lesson, students analyze pages 74–89 of Song of Solomon, in which Milkman struggles to make sense of his recent interactions with his family and recalls the incident that gave him his nickname. Students analyze the excerpt and pay particular attention to how the central ideas of identity and community develop.
