Description
In this lesson, students analyze pages 43–55 of Song of Solomon, in which Milkman first meets Pilate’s granddaughter, Hagar, and in which Macon tells Milkman about his childhood in Pennsylvania. Students participate in an evidence-based discussion to analyze how Macon’s description of his early years further develops his character.
