Description
In this lesson, students read and analyze chapters XXXVIII–XXXIX of The Awakening, in which Robert leaves and Edna returns to Grand Isle for a final swim. Student analysis focuses on Chopin’s choices in concluding the text and how those choices contribute to the meaning and aesthetic impact of the narrative.
