Description
In this lesson, students read and analyze chapters XXIX–XXXI of The Awakening, in which Edna throws a dinner party and then moves out of her husband’s home. Student analysis focuses on story elements and how the related elements contribute to Edna’s character development. Students discuss their observations and analysis in small groups after independently completing an Evidence Collection Tool.
