In this lesson, students prepare for the Mid-Unit Assessment in the following lesson by engaging in an evidence-based discussion analyzing Tim O’Brien’s “On the Rainy River.” This lesson provides the first opportunity for students to discuss the story in its entirety, specifically focusing on how certain parts of the text contribute to the overall meaning and structure of the text.
