Mid-Unit Assessment: Central Idea


Description

In this lesson, the Mid-Unit Assessment, students use textual evidence from “Of Our Spiritual Strivings” by W.E.B. Du Bois to craft a formal, multi-paragraph essay in response to the following prompt: Identify a central idea in “Of Our Spiritual Strivings” and analyze how Du Bois uses figurative language or rhetoric to develop this central idea.
