Description
In this lesson, students are introduced to RI.11-12.1 and RI.11-12.6, considering how the standards relate to the same standards for reading literature. Then, students read pages 50–51 from the excerpt of chapter 3 from A Room of One’s Own. Students focus on Woolf’s use of rhetoric to create meaning in her text and advance her argument about women writers during Shakespeare’s time.
